About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Honest Restaurant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant, including supervising and coordinating the activities of our food service staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys
  • Manage Food Service Operations
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation
    • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Ensure Quality and Safety Standards
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage Staff and Resources
    • Hire and train food service staff
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Prepare and submit reports on staff performance and resource utilization
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment with fast-paced and physically demanding conditions
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication and client focus skills
    • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
    • Team player with initiative and a positive attitude
