We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Diamond Crete And Construction Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Repair cracks and holes to create a seamless surface.
- Mix paint to the desired color and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise fit.
- Advise clients on colors and wall coverings, providing expert recommendations.
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality.
- Estimate costs and materials, providing accurate quotes to clients.
- Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate.
- Experience with airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, and roller painting.
- Knowledge of testing equipment, including moisture gauges, sling psychrometers, wet micron gauges, and dry micron gauges.
- Skills in surface preparation, including drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, and sandblasting.
- Specialization in coating/application, including aggregate painting, novelty and decorative effects, surface gilding, multi-color finishes, powdered coatings, dipping, and paint spraying.
- Experience with wood finishing, including graining, marbleizing, staining, and glazing.
- Knowledge of wall covering, including wallpaper and wood veneers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Physical demands of the job include bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Valid driver's license and own transportation.
