Job Title: Carpenter

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Blue Water Concepts Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Instruct apprentices.
  • Supervise other workers.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
