We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at the Nautical Consulting Group Ltd.

About the Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts. You will also play a key role in establishing and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week in an English-speaking environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Financial Records: Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and up-to-date, including income and expenses.
  • Prepare Payroll: Calculate and prepare cheques for employees, as well as manage employee benefits and taxes.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skill Set: Proficient in computerized bookkeeping systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
