About the Role

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and direction to the Centre, ensuring the organization's policies and practices reflect a community-centered perspective. This role will be responsible for managing the organization's finances, human resources, community engagement, and advocacy efforts, while ensuring the stability, success, and sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Centre
  • Manage the organization's finances, including secured funding and sustainability
  • Oversee human resources, including staff management and development
  • Build strategic partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders
  • Represent the organization in the community and provide regular updates to the Board of Directors
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as human resources, non-profit management, or social services
  • Experience in communications, conflict resolution, and program/project development and evaluation
  • Understanding of colonial and trauma-informed practice, including the historical and present contexts and experiences of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities in Canada
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
