About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Marathon Children and Family Centre. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized childcare environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Provide exceptional care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Engage children in storytelling, teaching songs, and leading activities that foster creativity and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports, including observations and progress updates.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
