About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Progressive Rubber Industries Inc. in a design and development capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures, and prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications.
  • Inspection and Testing: Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, and carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.
  • Project Support: Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications, and develop policies, standards, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
  • Skills: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, MS Excel, MS Word, and excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Capabilities: Own transportation, tools, equipment, and safety glasses/goggles.
