Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at IK Construction Inc. The successful candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Transport Materials: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Structures: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix and Apply Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Support Medical Examiner: Assist the medical examiner in charge as needed.
  • Align Pipes: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Drill and Blast Rock: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels, and assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Exposure and Cleanup: Assist in exposing coal seams and ore deposits at open pit mines and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Site Maintenance: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
