We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team at Anew Centre for Healing Ltd. as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, and operating industrial vacuum cleaners.
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Perform safety and security checks, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
- Work with minimal supervision, and perform preventive maintenance and routine maintenance tasks.
- First Aid Certificate
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability
- Mileage paid
