Your Opportunity

Our Oakville Office is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Indirect Tax team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Provide expert Indirect Tax support to colleagues and clients, ensuring compliance with Goods & Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax, provincial-level sales taxes, carbon taxes, Luxury Tax, and Underused Housing Tax.
  • Conduct in-depth research on Indirect Tax issues and prepare comprehensive correspondence and client deliverables.
  • Oversee and review Indirect Tax compliance for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on Indirect Tax matters, representing clients' interests and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Assist with tax authority examinations, audits, and voluntary disclosures related to Indirect Taxes.
  • Manage practice matters, including billings, accounts receivable, and client onboarding procedures.
  • Coach and develop junior team members, promoting growth and excellence within the team.
  • Identify opportunities to assist colleagues and clients with Indirect Taxes, driving business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with all legislation pertaining to Indirect Taxes, ensuring expertise and knowledge.

Your Experience and Education

  • A CPA/CMA/CGA designation is preferred but not required.
  • You have completed the CPA GST/HST In-Depth Course.
  • You have a minimum of eight years' experience with indirect taxes, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work, demonstrating these principles in your daily activities.
  • You possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
