Job Title: Freight Transport Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Freight Transport Specialist to join our team at Ultimate Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect the condition of vehicles, checking tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and efficient logistics.
  • Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Hold an Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Basic Security Clearance: Have a Basic Security Clearance

Working Conditions:

  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as loading and unloading goods, with minimal supervision.
