Grocery Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grocery Department Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the grocery department to achieve sales growth, budgeted P.I. accuracy, and on-shelf availability.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve store inventory accuracy, planogram compliance, and price integrity.
- Ensure the maintenance of the SAP system and support the execution of store programs, initiatives, and planograms.
- Perform in-store transfers, store-to-store transfers, and price changes, while maintaining price integrity and signage.
- Work closely with Department Managers to ensure inventory levels are maintained and assortment is optimized.
- Analyze opportunities and develop business plans to achieve financial objectives, including wage cost, operational expenses, inventory control, and shrink.
- Perform administrative activities, including financial reporting, labour scheduling, merchandising, and bookings.
- Recruit, train, and develop part-time staff, while maintaining and communicating Company Policies and Procedures.
- Grade 12 Diploma with advanced reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- ~2-3 years of retail grocery experience, with previous managerial or supervisory experience an asset.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a talent for building customer loyalty.
- Knowledge of store systems skills (Telxon, CAO, and BDR) and computer skills (PC applications, Outlook, Excel) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Company Policies and Procedures.
