Grocery Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Department Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the grocery department to achieve sales growth, budgeted profitability, and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy, planogram compliance, and price integrity.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure effective inventory management, assortment optimization, and out-of-stock minimization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Manage labor scheduling, financial reporting, and administrative activities to support store operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma (advanced reading, writing, and mathematical skills).
- ~2 – 3 years of retail grocery experience.
- ~ Previous managerial or supervisory experience an asset.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty.
- Knowledge of store systems skills (Telxon, CAO, and BDR) and computer skills (PC applications, Outlook, Excel) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Company Policies and Procedures.
