The Seniors Coordinator position at BC Recreation and Parks Association is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering programs and services that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of seniors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Development and Delivery: Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that cater to the diverse needs of seniors.
  • Partnerships and Community Engagement: Establish and maintain partnerships with community agencies to reach underserved, isolated, and at-risk seniors.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Organize special events to engage diverse populations and raise awareness about seniors' issues.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and evaluate instructors, volunteers, and group liaisons.
  • Customer Service: Provide customer service and information referral services to seniors and their caregivers.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Grade 12 diploma and a diploma in a social service or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience: Experience in program development, group facilitation, leadership, supervision, and budget management.
  • Certifications: Standard or Emergency First Aid Training & CPR, Police Information Check, and Class 4 Licence (an asset).
