About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team at Neptunus Yachts International Inc. as a key member of our metal fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality results.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best course of action.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and specifications to maintain quality control.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare materials for welding.
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and effective welding processes.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware to complete projects.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data to ensure quality control.
  • Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license to travel to work sites.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) to move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality control.
  • Hand-eye coordination to operate equipment safely.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
