We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Baker Tilly. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of public accounting experience in Canada and hold a CPA designation.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise and analytical skills, with the ability to detect and solve problems efficiently. Proficiency in software such as MS Excel, Word, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Caseware, and TaxPrep is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Full cycle accounting experience from data input to final financial statements and tax returns.
- Complete CRA filings, including HST and payroll remittances.
- Contact CRA on behalf of clients as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and CPD training requirements.
- Interpret CRA correspondence and communicate it to clients.
Audit experience would be an asset. Additionally, the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team is essential.
Requirements:- Strong technical expertise and analytical skills.
- Ability to detect and solve problems efficiently.
- Proficiency in software such as MS Excel, Word, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Caseware, and TaxPrep.
- 3-5 years of public accounting experience in Canada.
- CPA designation.
Bilingualism and experience in a professional services firm will be considered an asset. A salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, is expected for this position.
