Service Writer

Brandt is seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team in Smithers.
This role is responsible for supporting the service manager in maintaining accurate and timely reports and records for the Service Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Field internal and external customer inquiries related to the Service Department
- Open and manage work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman
- Maintain the service library with current information, including files, bulletins, and manuals
- Organize and update Service Department filing and records
- Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from work orders
- Manage accessories and supplies, and prepare replacement orders
- Prepare Service Technician efficiency reports and process warranty and/or product improvement claims
- Knowledge of office procedures and general understanding of mechanical/technical terms
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices
- Experience with standard desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
