Service Writer

Brandt is seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team in Smithers.
This role is responsible for supporting the service manager in maintaining accurate and timely reports and records for the Service Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Field internal and external customer inquiries related to the Service Department
- Open and manage work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman
- Maintain the service library with up-to-date information under the supervision of the Service Manager
- Organize and update Service Department filing and records
- Update customer profiles using information from work orders
- Manage accessories and supplies, and prepare replacement orders
- Prepare Service Technician efficiency reports
- Process warranty and product improvement claims, including computation of charges and submission
- Knowledge of office procedures and protocols
- General understanding of mechanical and technical terms
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices
- Experience with standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and internet functions
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
