Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floor Operations Manager to join our team at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. As a key member of our Food & Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our fans and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and provide ongoing coaching, training, and motivation to the Quick Service Team.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service using industry-standard principles and adhere to company policies and regulations.
  • Support QS Supervisors in providing prompt, efficient, and friendly service to all food and beverage customers.
  • Work quickly and independently to resolve operational issues, ensuring proper follow-up with the Management Team.
  • Participate in administrative tasks, including opening and closing duties, food safety checklists, sales and service statistics, performance reviews, and maintenance logs.
  • Oversee the production of vending products and food production prior to events on a weekly rotation with other Floor Supervisors.
  • Hold staff accountable through the corrective action process.
  • Supervise and manage speed of service and product quality, making necessary adjustments to meet service expectations.
  • Assist in the training and development of staff and Supervisors.
  • Adhere to all company service standards and policies, including Health & Safety.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with varying hours based on event schedules.
  • Must be available for a minimum of 12 event days per month.
  • Ability to effectively connect with fans and all levels of management and staff.
  • Smart Serve certification required; Food Safety certification an asset.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and multi-task.
  • Position involves walking and standing for long periods of time.
  • Previous experience in a unionized work environment is helpful.
  • Ability to build a fun yet productive working environment with a winning attitude.
