About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tiling Supervisor to join our team at MODENA TILING INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our tile setters and ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of tile setters to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
  • Prepare and review production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines and ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available.
  • Train and develop the skills of tile setters to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to perform their roles effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects and ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the work environment is safe and healthy.
  • Recommend personnel actions to management, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure that projects are completed accurately and to the required standard.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as necessary to support project activities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
