Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Guiding Minds Montessori Inc. The successful candidate will provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote child development
  • Support early childhood educators in keeping accurate records
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry check
  • Own transportation
  • Repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Punctuality, dependability, reliability, and ability to work as a team player
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a child care centre with a team of dedicated early childhood educators and support staff.
