Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathologist Specialist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and prepare research papers for publication and presentation.
  • Supervise laboratory activities, including training resident pathologists and morgue attendants, and act as consultants to other physicians.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and assist with or perform autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under pathologists' supervision.
Requirements
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II) certification.
  • Specialty residency training and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities and a strong understanding of medical specialization in pathology and laboratory medicine.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
