Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished regulated healthcare provider with experience in clinical practice, adult education, facilitation, change management, and electronic information systems. The successful candidate will participate in customizing, testing, and implementation of applications, upgrades, and enhancements to the Meditech application and other health information systems supported by the ICT Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customize, test, and implement applications, upgrades, and enhancements to the Meditech application and other health information systems.
  • Collaborate with the ICT Department to ensure seamless integration of new systems and applications.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and applications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for new systems and applications.
  • Participate in change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition to new systems and applications.
Requirements
  • University degree in healthcare science or a related field.
  • Current membership in a relevant professional organization or college.
  • Minimum two years of hospital experience working with a major Health Information System.
  • Excellent needs assessment, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and support multiple applications critical to the organization.
  • Ability to promote and manage change.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and foster good team building principles.
  • Strong oral communication, critical thinking, job task planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Detailed work demanding hours of sitting at a PC.
  • Typing skills of 50wpm.
  • Ability to learn new computer applications quickly and troubleshoot effectively under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, evenings, and night shifts during critical periods in the project.
