Job Summary:

The Business Instructor position at Yellowquill University College is a full-time opportunity to teach and mentor students in the Business Certificate Program. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, creating engaging learning experiences, and providing academic and career guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver curriculum in accordance with adult learning principles and college standards.
  • Provide direct instruction and instructional assistance to students in assigned classes.
  • Assist with student registration and provide advice on course selections.
  • Offer academic and career counseling to students as needed.
  • Develop course descriptions, including learning objectives, course topics, and evaluation methods.
  • Submit attendance reports, mid-term and final marks, and other reports as required.
  • Recommend instructional materials and supplies for classes taught.
  • Maintain an inventory of instructional materials and equipment for each class.
  • Participate in college promotions and events to showcase programs and services.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education Degree and/or Adult Education Certificate.
  • Previous business teaching experience and working with Aboriginal adults is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams).
  • Completion of a Criminal Record Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle.
