Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, utilizing communication systems such as CB radio and GPS navigation equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, and trip reports.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the transportation industry, with a focus on heavy equipment operation and truck driving.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in physically demanding environments, and perform repetitive tasks.
