Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at DCT Chambers Trucking Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer B train and transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer B train to transport goods across the country.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with central dispatch to receive and relay information.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo is a top priority.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement is required.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is required.
  • Citizens band (CB) radio experience is an asset.
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment is required.
  • Trip recorder (on-board computer) experience is an asset.
