Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Analyst to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for evaluating strategic and operational initiatives using data analytics and applying business acumen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial and operational analysis for strategic projects and operational optimization initiatives.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare PowerPoint presentations to communicate those initiatives and financial/operational performance reports to senior executives and the Board in a visually engaging manner.
  • FP&A Functions: Perform FP&A functions (particularly around month-end and quarterly-end periods) as well as analyses to improve commercial/operational performance.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop complex and comprehensive financial models for the gaming/hospitality industry.
  • Executive Reporting: Design and prepare executive reporting packages for the senior management team and Board identifying changes to the business plan and forecasts.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational, treasury, and financial reporting personnel and departments.
  • Collaboration: Participate in cross-function meetings to provide support in the preparation of the corporate annual budget presentation to senior executives and the Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of work experience in FP&A, financial advisory, or equivalent experience with a multi-location enterprise.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, experience with corporate financial models is an asset.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent field, enrollment or completion in CFA or CPA program.
  • Tools: Experience with Looker, Power BI, Cognos, or other enterprise tools is an asset.
