We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Laboratory department, you will be responsible for carrying out laboratory testing procedures and related duties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing procedures and related duties under the supervision of the Lead Medical Technologist.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
- Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Graduate from a recognized course in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Must possess a General Certificate.
- Must be eligible for membership with Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
- Comprehensive benefit packages, including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan.
- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service.
