Warehouse Associate Job Description

Texcan, a leading distributor of wire and cable products, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory and orders.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts, including battery maintenance, to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company safety standards and reporting any hazards or incidents.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, accurately recording and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Process orders and shipments in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accurate and complete fulfillment.
  • Operate scanning equipment and other warehouse technology to optimize inventory management and order processing.
  • Assist with general cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • First aid, WHMIS, or forklift certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of warehouse, production, or general labor experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pass a background check and physical test.
