About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Mystic, a new restaurant opening on the Halifax waterfront. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for leading by example and ensuring the quality and consistency of all pastry products served.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality desserts that meet the standards set by the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
- Maintain accurate records of food ingredients and costs.
- Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
- Handle special requests and guest allergies with professionalism.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience in a pastry capacity.
- Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.
- Proven ability to work well with a team and as an individual.
