Heavy Equipment Technician

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team in Squamish, BC.
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of trucks and equipment, ensuring they are in top working condition to keep our communities clean and safe.
The successful candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Red Seal Mechanic certification or second-year apprenticeship
- At least 2 years of experience as a Mechanic
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and repairs of diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks and heavy-duty equipment
- Using various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment
- Completing daily reports, work orders, and ordering necessary parts
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
