About the Role

Martini Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and bid submissions for commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates and bid submissions for commercial construction projects
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates
  • Communicate effectively with our accounting, construction, and executive teams
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Organize and prepare project start-ups, including logistics and scheduling
  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating project activities and ensuring timely completion
  • Review and revise contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Monitor project progress and ensure high standards of accuracy and quality
  • Direct the purchase of building materials for projects
  • Represent the company in business-related matters, including meetings and contract negotiations
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
  • Post-secondary education in construction, project management, or a related field
  • Experience in job costing, job tracking, and job purchasing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Sage 100
  • Familiarity with the BC Building Code
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
