Job Title: Expert Platform Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Expert Platform Engineer to join our team at Demonware. As a key member of our Platform Department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies will be instrumental in driving our migration to Azure and developing our managed and scalable Kubernetes solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure Kubernetes clusters on Azure
  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes controllers and tools for efficient cluster management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex system issues, often in collaboration with other teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of practical experience with Kubernetes, preferably in high-volume and/or critical production service environments
  • Experience with Cluster API or other cluster management frameworks
  • Experience with Kubernetes Operator pattern
  • Experience with development in Golang
  • Proven experience in architecting and provisioning services using public cloud services, preferably Azure, but also GCP or AWS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with managed Kubernetes services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) at scale

About the Role:

This is a 12-month contract engagement. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of Demonware.
