Job Summary

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Engineer System Architect - AI/ML to lead the development of complex AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions. This is a 100% remote position that offers a full benefit package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define AI/ML Infrastructure Platform Solutions: Develop and lead a multi-disciplined team to bring AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions to implementation, ensuring overall design quality metrics are met.
  • Technical Relationship Management: Develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers/partners on product roadmaps and technologies.
  • RFQ Technical Responses: Lead RFQ technical responses and platform concept development efforts as appropriate.
  • Trade-Off Analysis: Provide effective trade-off analysis and competitive guidance to engineering teams and customers.
  • Deliverables: Develop System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and Technical proposals.
  • Customer Interface: Act as a primary technical interface between Albin Engineering Services, Inc. and customers, particularly in technical escalation.
  • Business Development Support: Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in the winning of new business.
  • Team Resource Selection: Participate in the selection and hiring of design team resources as required.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and champion process improvement efforts as needed.
  • Industry Participation: Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.
  • Technical Presentations: Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc.
  • Industry Trends: Maintain current on industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.
Requirements
  • Server and AI/ML Accelerator Hardware Design Experience: 15+ years of experience in server and/or AI/ML accelerator hardware design.
  • AI Infrastructure System Design Experience: 5 years of experience in AI infrastructure system design.
  • GPU Accelerators and Support Systems: Experience with Nvidia, AMD, Intel, or other modern GPU accelerators and support systems.
  • Server/Storage/Converged Products: Successful experience architecting and delivering server/storage/converged products to market.
  • Customer Presentation Skills: Excellent customer presentation skills, with the ability to interface and interact with large OEM customers on ongoing product-related issues and new product design concepts.
  • Digital and Analogue Components: A broad knowledge of current digital and analogue components.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Successful New Product Introduction (NPI) launch.
  • System Level Design Integration: Extensive knowledge of system level power, cooling, mechanical, SW/FW, and electrical design integration and engineering trade-offs.
Desired Skills
  • Industry Group Participation: Prior participation in industry groups and associations.
  • System Level Integration and Test Experience: System level integration, interoperability, and test experience.
  • System Level Manufacturing Test Experience: System level manufacturing test experience.
Travel Requirements
  • International Travel: International travel required, approximately 4-6 trips per year.
  • Domestic Travel: Domestic travel to support customer and internal meetings as required.
Location

This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Pacific Coast.
