Job Summary

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Engineer - AI/ML System Architect to lead the development of complex AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions. This is a 100% remote position, offering a full benefit package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Implement AI/ML Infrastructure Platform Solutions: Develop and lead a multi-disciplined team to design, implement, and ensure the quality of AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions.
  • Technical Leadership and Collaboration: Establish and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers and partners on product roadmaps and technologies. Lead RFQ technical responses and platform concept development efforts as necessary.
  • Trade-Off Analysis and Competitive Guidance: Provide effective trade-off analysis and competitive guidance to engineering teams and customers. Deliverables include System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and technical proposals.
  • Customer Interface and Technical Support: Act as a primary technical interface between Albin Engineering Services, Inc. and customers, particularly in technical escalation. Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in winning new business.
  • Process Improvement and Standards: Identify and champion process improvement efforts as needed. Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.
  • Technical Presentations and Industry Knowledge: Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.
Requirements
  • 15+ Years of Server and/or AI/ML Accelerator Hardware Design Experience
  • 5 Years of AI Infrastructure System Design Experience
  • Experience with Modern GPU Accelerators and Support Systems
  • Successful Experience Architecting and Delivering Server/Storage/Converged Products
  • Excellent Customer Presentation Skills
  • Broad Knowledge of Current Digital and Analogue Components
  • Successful New Product Introduction (NPI) Launch
  • Extensive Knowledge of System-Level Power, Cooling, Mechanical, SW/FW, and Electrical Design Integration and Engineering Trade-Offs
Desired Skills
  • Prior Participation in Industry Groups and Associations
  • System-Level Integration, Interoperability, and Test Experience
  • System-Level Manufacturing Test Experience
Travel and Location
  • International Travel Required: Approximately 4-6 trips per year.
  • Domestic Travel: To support customer and internal meetings as required.
  • Remote Position: Open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations or near major airports.
