We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Marksmen Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.

You will also be responsible for fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware. Additionally, you will prepare tenders and quotations, and develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.

Our ideal candidate will have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade, and will be able to work in various locations. If you are a skilled tradesperson looking for a new challenge, please apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade
