We are seeking a skilled Property Manager to oversee the operation of a portfolio of multi-residential rental properties in Halifax, NS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property operations, including staff supervision, maintenance, and leasing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of multi-residential properties, ensuring timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee staff to ensure properties are well-maintained and all maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
- Work with staff to ensure vacant apartments are leased according to established procedures.
- Handle tenancy matters directly, including dealing with the Residential Tenancies Act.
- Prepare and manage annual property operating budgets and monthly variance analyses.
- Provide support and supervision to staff associated with the portfolio, including conducting annual performance reviews.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in property management, preferably in multi-residential settings.
- University degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to a growing company.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Yardi property management software experience is an asset.
