Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at Sackville Trenching Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating gluing machines, preset special purpose woodworking machines, and metal cleaning equipment to fabricate wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces
  • Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
  • Remove metal pieces from furnace when color or metal indicates proper forging temperature
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
  • Load and unload vehicle
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
