Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at Sackville Trenching Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating gluing machines, preset special purpose woodworking machines, and other equipment to fabricate wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Remove metal pieces from the furnace when the color or metal indicates proper forging temperature.
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week.
Work Environment

The work site environment is noisy and dusty. The work setting is a metal products manufacturing company.
