Support Counselor for Concurrent Disorders

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Support Counselor to join our interdisciplinary team at Pacifica Treatment Centre Society. As a Support Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and effective care to individuals dealing with concurrent disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized and group counselling, psycho-educational sessions, and clinical assessments to clients.
  • Develop and implement treatment care plans tailored to clients' recovery and mental health goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including substance use and bio-psycho-social evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external health, social, housing, and medical service providers.
  • Maintain accurate client records in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to program planning and development.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counselling or social work from an accredited institution.
  • ~ 1-2 years' experience in community-based or in-residence treatment for substance use and concurrent disorders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and EMR systems.
  • Ability to provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination, TB screening, and annual influenza vaccination (unless medically exempt).
Salary and Benefits:
