MAGCOR INC. is seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team. As a Carpenter Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting experienced carpenters in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures. Your duties will include preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and joining wood and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced carpenters in the construction process
  • Prepare layouts and measure materials
  • Assemble and join wood and other materials
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train
  • Work site environment: At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty, outdoors
  • Work setting: Construction, various locations, commercial, industrial, residential
  • Tasks: Prepare layouts, measure and cut materials, assemble and join materials
  • Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, large workload, physically demanding, tight deadlines
  • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, judgement, reliability, team player, punctuality
