About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapy Specialist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. The successful candidate will work closely with residents in a Long Term Care facility in Southwold, Ontario, to develop individualized treatment plans and provide clinical physiotherapy treatments.

Job Summary
  • This is a 7.5 hour per week PT service position.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough assessments and re-assessments of residents' physical abilities, creating personalized treatment plans with measurable goals.
  2. Provide high-quality physiotherapy treatments to residents, promoting mobility and overall health.
  3. Engage with residents and their families, educating them on health management and self-care techniques, as needed.
  4. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress reports for each resident.
  5. Foster effective communication and collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, PTAs, OTs, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Supervise Physiotherapy Assistants (PTAs) and students/interns, ensuring they have clear instructions to implement rehabilitation programs, group exercises, or one-on-one sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Professional License Insurance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills when interacting with residents and their families.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in a Retirement home setting is highly desirable.
  • ADP authorization is an asset.
  • A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is mandatory.
What We Offer

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $60-$80 per hour, commensurate with experience, in accordance with industry standards for a Physiotherapy Specialist in the province of Ontario.
