Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance and Cleaning Professional to join our team at Wave Cleaning & Services Inc. as a Building Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as performing minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and wax floors, as well as clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, steam cleaners, and power lawn mowers.
  • Minor Repairs: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Ability to work in all weather conditions, flexibility, initiative, and reliability.
