Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our facility operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our manufacturing facility and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production, lab, warehouse, office, and washroom areas in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential hazards or areas for improvement.
  • Manage customer requests for cleaning, waste disposal, and other facility-related services in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform waste disposal and recycling services, and maintain accurate records of activities.
  • Ensure regular replenishment of cleaning and maintenance supplies, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and report any potential hazards or concerns.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in janitorial services or a related field preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with GMP and SOPs an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and the English language.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40-hour week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and required as necessary.
