About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team at Family and Children's Services Niagara. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair and maintenance issues, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance: Assess and carry out routine maintenance needs, including repairs to drywall, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Courier Services: Provide courier services between offices and in the community, ensuring timely delivery of mail and supplies.
  • Team Building: Develop professional working relationships with team members, actively participate in supervision and team meetings, and support the team to ensure department needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 Diploma
  • Experience: Previous working experience in property maintenance or construction industry, preferably with a carpentry background
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience and competence with various power and hand tools, working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting skills, and knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Certifications: Valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate liability insurance
