About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Master Woodworker to join our team at Edge Grain. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, substitutes, and steel
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1-7 months of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Work Environment: At heights, noisy, dusty, and outdoors
  • Work Setting: Construction, renovation, and residential environments

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
