Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team at Municipal Group of Companies. As a Snow Plow Operator, you will be responsible for operating a tandem axle plow/sand truck on the Trans Labrador highway, adhering to all company safety policies and performing tasks in a safe fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tandem axle plow/sand truck daily on the Trans Labrador highway
  • Perform daily pre and post operational checks on equipment
  • Complete daily paperwork requirements, including Take 5, daily salt/sand distribution sheet, and daily operator logbook
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition
  • Perform other duties as instructed by the Project Superintendent

Requirements:

  • Class 1 or 3 NL Driver's License (or equivalent from another province)
  • Experience operating snow blowers and related snow removal tools/equipment is an asset
  • Experience with a dump truck, snow plow truck, loader (CAT 966 or equivalent), and salt truck
  • Preference is to local hires for the two communities

Working Conditions:

Operators will be working in an isolated location, where employees will need to be familiar with operating generators, cooking, and cleaning for themselves. Housing includes a full kitchen, living room, washroom, and laundry services.
