Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Mountain View Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Handle and store cleaning products in a responsible and safe manner.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation and cooking.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Will to learn and train in a dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Permanent employment opportunity with 32 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
