About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Vancouver Pizza Kitchen (Kelowna). As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand
  • Replenish condiments and supplies in the kitchen and serving areas
  • Prepare and package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
