We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at West Coast Reduction Ltd. in Saskatoon, SK.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial transport trucks, as well as performing preventative maintenance services. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy duty mechanics and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose faults in commercial transport trucks
  • Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes and lubrications
  • Repair and replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Work with equipment such as vacuum pumps, hydraulics, and fork loaders
  • Perform shift work and overtime as instructed
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid Saskatchewan Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate or interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal Certification
  • 3 years of experience in truck repairs or similar environment
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
